There are a few approaches you can use to get your design onto your fabric.
Trace the design using a 'lightbox' approach
Option 1: Print the design and tape it to a window, then hold up your fabric and use a pencil or pen to trace the design onto the fabric.
Option 2: Import the digital design into a lightbox app on a tablet device, and use a pen or pencil to trace the design onto the fabric.
Use dissolvable transfer paper (recommended)
Directly print the design onto soluble embroidery transfer paper, which sticks to your fabric and dissolves when you are finished with the project. I personally use 'New brothread' paper which is working well for me, but there are lots of options available.
I'm no embroidery expert myself, so I'm keeping the stitches in these patterns pretty simple. I would recommend knowing at minimum backstitch, stemstich, satin stitch, and french knots.
